Dora and Claire Williamson had fallen into the hands of Dr. Hazzard, a woman of extraordinary evil and greed who would stop at nothing to achieve her ambitions."
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
If you know of anyone who is contemplating the deadly Kimkins starvation diet, please recommend that they visit this website and read the book, Starvation Heights, written by Gregg Olsen. It will give them insight into the devious mind and actions of Heidi Diaz (aka Kimmer):

Wow. Your site continues to amaze me. Thanks for this new item about Dr. Hazzard (nice last name, huh?). Heidi and the doc would really get along.

Heidi is worse. The ambition is similar, but Heidi doesn’t just cause collateral damage to people on her path to greed, she inflicts damage just for the sake of doing damage. Have you ever read her skin care advice? Retin-A all the time, even on the eyelids, so people can have beautiful skin like her. Except ‘her’ wasn’t her, it was Lesya the Russian bride model she claimed was her, and as much Retin-A as she claimed to use wouldn’t transform you into Lesya, it would viciously burn the skin. Then there’s her twisted diet advice, saying you can diet-Coke fast for months so long as there is any fat left on your body, and to use a laxative chaser, so you can be thin like her. But again, ‘her’ wasn’t her, it was Lesya, and dieting that way won’t turn you into Lesya, it will damage your heart! It will also damage your metabolism, setting you up for a lifetime of difficulty losing weight. If you follow her advice, you will end up looking like Heidi really looks, in the private investigator photos and the deposition photos.
She charges $60 for the privilege to dispense that horrible advice, and then she gets to enjoy abusing you if you aren't tough enough to follow it. Speak out, and she will ban you.
That woman is dangerous, rotten and unredeemable.
Say no to Kimkins!
Once more, with feeling! Say no to Kimkins!!!
Wow, that is really interesting...I'll have to get that book.
Friends don't let friends do Kimkins! Remember that cover girl on the WW Mag? Well, she learned the hard way about Kimkins and it's dangers!! Read her blog and decide for yourself.

Thanks so much for your comments. I really appreciate you taking the time to post on my blog.
OYB, I agree...Heidi/Kimmer is worse than Dr. Hazzard for all the reasons you have mentioned.
It's time that Kimkins and its founder, Heidi Diaz, are brought to justice.
Dr. Hazzard seems to relate her methods of practice as some sort of feminism.
Scary, how Dr. Hazzard used society's current concerns from that era in her ploy to win over the public.
It does remind me how Kimmer used the nations misinformed ideas of "low-fat" being the best way to diet and the incorrect idea that her diet is a low carb diet to cash in on the renewed interest in low carb diets. She even justified that the Kimkins Diet was healthy because she had taken aspects of the diet from Atkins and Stillmans, both which are named after the physicians that created them.
Thanks, Medusa for sharing this story.

I Am Not Ready To Make Nice with Kimkins
Thanks so much for another thoughtful post, HoneyBee.
The parallels between Dr. (term used loosely) Hazzard and Heidi Diaz/Kimmer are quite remarkable.
It makes me wonder how many people have died as a result of following the Kimkins starvation diet, especially in light of the fact that so many members of Kimkins have "gone missing."
